A Google Workspace Series for Interpreters: Drive & Sites

Saturday, September 6, 2025 | 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM Central U.S. Time

This workshop series goal is to enhance professional workflow using Google Workspace apps.

For this session, Emma will cover Google Drive’s valuable tips and tricks to maximize productivity as an interpreter. After we learn a little about Drive, Emma will demonstrate features of Google Sites. Afterwards, participants will create their own professional Google Site to support their interpreting career.


Educational Objectives

Participants will be able to:

  1. Recall two (2) uses for Google Drive
  2. List at least three (3) key features and functionalities of Google Sites
  3. Experiment with Google Sites to get hands on experience
  4. Illustrate knowledge with individual examples within Sites to the group

Emma Horlick

About Our Presenter(s):

Emma Horlick earned her Bachelor’s degree in ASL/English Interpreting in 2012. After taking a break from the field, she returned to interpreting about three years ago and currently holds licenses in Arkansas and Arizona. She is BEI Basic Certified, holds an Arkansas QAST Level 3/3, and has completed the CASLI Written Exam. In addition to interpreting, she enjoys using Google tools and has developed a strong passion for leveraging them to support communication, organization, and productivity.


Language

This workshop is presented in English with ASL interpretation. *Interpretation may be provided by students, folks in their gap year, or newly certified interpreters*

Event Fee: $10
